Have You Received a Notification Letter from Bislab?

March 25, 2026

Notification letters are generated after a credit assessment

It is common for companies, when they have a legitimate need, to perform credit checks on their customers. This may occur in connection with loan applications, subscriptions, or online purchases paid by invoice.

Regardless of why a credit check has been performed on you, you are entitled to receive a notification letter containing information about which company requested the check and what information was disclosed.

The final decision is made by each individual company

Our customers use an automated solution that calculates credit risk in the form of a score. This score is based on various variables that estimate the statistical likelihood of receiving a payment remark.

Bislab would like to emphasize that our customers use this information differently, and that each customer makes the final decision independently.

Contact us in case of errors in credit information

Payment remarks are automatically removed from our database once we receive confirmation that the debt has been settled. All payment remarks older than four years are normally removed from our records.

Figures from tax assessments should match your official tax statement. New and updated figures are added as they become publicly available.

Bislab, as the data controller for credit information processing, handles your credit data. If you identify any errors in your credit information, you can contact us in writing, with documentation, at support@bislab.no.

If you have questions about why a credit assessment was performed on you, or if you suspect identity theft, you should contact the company that carried out the credit check directly. The company name and contact details are included in the notification letter you received.
